The Latvians are coming

Latvian art will take centre stage during Huntenkunst 2025.

Latvia’s contemporary art scene is dynamic and diverse, with a range of museums and galleries showcasing both national and international artists. Important institutions include the Art Museum Riga Bourse and the Latvian National Art Museum, which provide a platform for modern art exhibitions.

A notable venue is the Daugavpils Mark Rothko Art Centre, a multifunctional complex for contemporary art, culture and education dedicated to Latvian-born artist Mark Rothko.

Contemporary art in Latvia offers a rich and varied landscape combining traditional and modern influences, with artists and institutions contributing to both the national and international art scene.

We are curious to see what work the artists will surprise us with.
